moving to Idaho...
I'm Megan, 21 years old and I'm moving to the Coeur D'Alene area from San Luis Obispo, California sometime after October 15th. I'm a single mom to a nearly 16 month old girl named Kaylee Beth who keeps me hopping all day long. Inbetween chasing her around and trying to keep up house, I'm a WAHM.
I hope that I'll be able to navigate CDA and not get lost trying to find the grocery store...

Hey'all! I was just wondering, is there anyone here going to the Le Leche League family picnic in Idaho Falls on Saturday?
Plus, I'm absolutely in love with my new baby carrier and I'm doing all I can to shout it out to the world, so everyone should check out my ridiculously long journal entry about all the reasons why I think everyone should have one, then check out the website. Or you could skip the journal part and just go straight to www.haveaballbaby.com, though that's not quite as fun for me ;) .

Hey Community- it's been ages! I've been a bit busy because I had my baby! I'm so in love. If you're interested in the birth story, let me know and I'll post it to you- or you can be my friend and read it in my mama journal. Have a great day. Current Mood: love

Hi, my name is Bree and I live in Boise. We have been here for a little over a year. We moved from California and really love it here. We have 2 boys ages 2 and 10 months. They keep us busy. I stay at home with them and love it. Current Mood: cheerful

My name is Lori. I live in North Idaho and have been here for about a year and a half. I have been married to my hubby, Jim for almost 10 years and we have a wonderful, funny, sweet boy who is 7 named Travis. My husband grew up here, but I am originally from Montana. My family is still back there, but we are very close to Jim's mom and dad and sister and her family. Life has been good here...it was a good move for us. I had been a stay-at-home mom until about 3 months ago. Now I work part-time at a local video store and also work at my son's school part-time. I am hoping to eventually work into JUST being at the school and leaving the Video store. I am excited to make some new friends and share stories, concerns, etc. Thanks for the invitation to stop by and I hope to get to know you all! Current Mood: chipper

A little info
I'm Kit. I live in Boise. I've been married to John for almost seven years. Our only child was born 11-02-05. Riley is quite a handful. I swear he's a ten-year-old trapped in a one-year-old's body. We also have two dogs, Kita and Toby.
I'm a part-time college student and full-time writer, with several published books. I have a book coming out through Harlequin in 2008. My husband works nights in the IT department of a health insurance company, so my weekends are generally quiet, except for chasing down Riley.
Thanks for the invitation. I'm sorry it took a while to post an intro. I happen to have some time tonight, because I'm sick, so my mother is keeping the baby overnight.

Hi my name is Stormy I like in pocatello.
I have 2 kids a extremely active almost 4 year old girl with a sparkling personality and a smiley little almost 9 month old boy
I am bad at writing intros so if you have some questions just ask I will answer pretty much anything
Hey Everyone! My name is Heather-Louise and I'm 21. I'm temporarily located in Rexburg where my husband is going to school. I also consider myself a student, though morning-sickness-from-Hell and a couple other issues forced me to take a hiatus. We are expecting our first baby in February- a little boy that has been much more active than average my entire pregnancy, so I'm looking forward to having my hands full with a little party animal.
Also, my1stfairytale is my mama-oriented journal; for the part of my life that doesn't involve a variety of body fluids and other gory issues my childless friends may wish to abstain from, my username is neptuneslide. Current Mood: optimistic
Amber here, I live in Idaho Falls.
I've got a 5 month old son who's a real sweetie.

Although I no longer live in Idaho, Boise or Meridian for the time being, I would love to join this community. I miss Idaho like I would miss my left leg. Right now my dear Hubby is back in the Army, and where he goes, I must follow. Here for now in Clarksville Tennessee. Home of the 101st Airborn Screaming Eagles. I am a mother of one, and step mother of two (who live in Texas). My daughter is 10 and sadly enough there wont be anymore babies for us.
Anyhow...how is the weather there today? Current Mood: blah
Hello Idaho Mama.
I'm actually not a mom yet. I want to be, but I think it will be a couple of years, and it will probably be after we move back to Tennessee. We moved here to Hailey a year and a half ago, and I honestly don't think I can take many more of these winters. (It's not the cold; it's the snow. I can't deal with how the snow comes in November and just hangs around until April.)
But I love listening to moms talk, so here I am. And who knows, maybe we'll have a surprise and have an Idaho baby. My teenaged brother-in-law thinks we should have a baby while here in Idaho. He considers it a mark of distinction: "Hardly anyone can say they were born in Idaho."
At any rate, I'm 23 and married. And that's me.

first post, welcome
my name is jen, i'm the 22 year old mother of a beautiful 21 month old daughter. i'm the creator and moderator of this community.
i created this communtiy because i've lived in idaho for almost 5 months and still have not met a single person my age. it could be, of course, because i'm a stay at home mom and don't know the area. but i've spent the last 2 months trying to find a message board of some sort to start making connections and building friendships. so far i have failed miserably, or the internet has failed me, either way, this community was born because of it.
it is my hope that this community can bring together people in my situation, someone who desperately needs some real human contact and commiseration. it's a lonely world out there for people in general, and i'm hoping to make it less so by bringing together people of similar interest.
anyway, i'm done with this first community post. i hope there are more posts in the very near future!
